How Saturn works

Last updated September 18, 2026

Saturn is a launchpad on Robinhood Chain. You sign every action in your own wallet, and the contracts on the blockchain do the rest.

Saturn is in demo while it prepares for launch. The site shows simulated tokens and prices. Everything below describes how Saturn works once live features open, starting with $SATURN.

01Overview

Tokens launched on Saturn are created by the token factory of pons, and trade through smart contracts rather than an order book. Saturn is an independent interface: it never holds your funds or your keys, it adds no fee of its own, and it is not operated by pons.

The board on Saturn shows only tokens launched through Saturn. You can recognise them anywhere: every Saturn token address ends in 5a7.

02Launch

A launch is one transaction. You choose:

  • Name, ticker, image and description, plus optional links to X, Telegram, Discord, Farcaster and a website.
  • A pair: ETH, or an asset pons has approved, such as the USDG stablecoin or tokenized stocks like NVDA, TSLA and SPY. Every price and payout for the token is in that asset.
  • A creator tax from 0% to 10%, charged on every buy and sell and paid to the creator. It is fixed at launch and can never be changed.
  • Buybacks, on or off. When on, half of the creator's share of the trading fee buys the token back.
  • An opening buy, made in the same transaction, so nobody can get in front of it.

The supply is always 1,000,000,000 tokens, all of it on the curve from the first block. Nobody, including the creator, receives tokens set aside before trading. The launch fee is currently 0.0005 ETH, paid to pons.

03The curve

Until it reaches orbit, a token trades on its own bonding curve. Buys move the price up and sells move it down, so anyone can trade at any time at the price the curve gives. The opening price is set by a virtual reserve rather than a deposit.

Snipe protection. In the first seconds after launch, buys pay a tax that starts at 99% and falls to zero within a few seconds. What it collects joins the trading fee. The creator, the fee recipient and the opening buy are exempt.

04Fees

Every trade, on the curve or on Uniswap after orbit, pays the same fees in the pair asset:

FeeRateGoes to
Trading fee1%30% to pons, 70% to the creator. With buybacks on: 30% to pons, 35% to buybacks, 35% to the creator.
Creator tax0% to 10%100% to the creator
Launch fee0.0005 ETHpons, once per launch

Tokens bought back are not burned. They are locked and released over five years, 70% to the creator and 30% to pons. Saturn takes nothing from any of these.

05Reach orbit

When the curve sells out, the token reaches orbit. On an ETH pair that happens once 4.2 ETH has gone in; other pairs have their own targets. The purchase that finishes the curve moves its liquidity into a Uniswap v4 pool in the same transaction.

That liquidity is locked permanently. There is no unlock and no wallet that can withdraw it, including the creator, pons and Saturn. Tokens left over at orbit are locked in the same way.

06Moons

Saturn has 274 known moons. The first 274 tokens to reach orbit on Saturn become one of them, numbered by the block in which they graduated. The first seven take the names of Saturn's major moons: Titan, Rhea, Iapetus, Dione, Tethys, Enceladus and Mimas.

Moon numbers are permanent and anyone can check them on-chain. When all 274 are taken, no token will claim a moon again.

07Saturn Standard

Tokens that meet all of these checks carry the Saturn Standard badge. Every check is read from the blockchain, not self-reported:

  • Creator tax of 5% or less.
  • An opening buy of 5% of supply or less.
  • The creator fee recipient has never been moved.
  • No pending change of the fee recipient by pons.

The badge describes how a token is set up. It is not a review of the project or a recommendation to buy.

08For creators

Your fees build up on the curve, or in the Uniswap hook after orbit, and move to an escrow when they are swept. You then claim them from the escrow. If your token is paired with an asset other than ETH, your balance is held in that asset.

After launch you can still:

  • Move where your creator fees go. Claim what is already credited first, because it does not move with the change.
  • Turn buybacks on or off.
  • Release vested buyback tokens.

Nothing else about a token can change after launch: not the supply, the curve, the pair, the creator tax or the fee split.

09What pons controls

The pons contracts have an owner. Before you launch or trade, know that the owner can:

  • Change the terms, fees and approved pair assets for future launches.
  • Redirect any token's creator fees to a new wallet, for example in a community takeover, after a public three-day wait.
  • Return the funds of a launch stuck between the curve and Uniswap for seven days.
The pons v2 contracts have not finished an audit. Treat them as unaudited until reports are published.

10Stay safe

  • Anyone can launch a token with any name and image, including copies of real projects. Always check the token address.
  • Reaching orbit, being a moon or carrying the Saturn Standard badge is not a signal of quality.
  • Read what your wallet asks you to sign. Saturn will never ask for your recovery phrase.
  • The only official Saturn account on X is @saturnpad, and the only official site is saturnpad.app.
  • Only trade what you can afford to lose. See the risks in our Terms of Service.
